Dr. Carol Main is originally from rural Wisconsin. She and her family moved to the Okanagan in 2022 for the area’s amazing outdoor recreation.
She received her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and earned several All America titles in gymnastics. She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree at Indiana University followed by a residency in pediatrics and binocular vision from Illinois College of Optometry. During her year of residency training, she gained advanced clinical experience in the care of children’s vision and binocular vision disorders. She furthered her commitment to continued learning in the field of pediatrics by achieving her Fellowship in the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Main has experience in many eyecare settings including group ophthalmology practice as well as private practice. Prior to joining AB See Optometry and Vision Therapy, she and her husband owned and operated their own private optometric practice in Wisconsin.
When not cheering on her busy kids in their activities, she can often be found on the slopes of SilverStar or running the trails with her dog.
